Day 3: Good Stewards: Pray that you and your future husband are and will be good stewards of all God places in your life. Including, the gifts and talents He’s placed inside of you, as well as being good stewards of all you have on earth.
Before I even read the prayer points this morning, I had prayed at my desk to thank God for all the blessings he has given me, including my job and the opportunities that have always presented itself to better my life on earth and to give back as much as I can. I know that God has given me a spirit of generosity because I love to give. I give because I know God blesses me more and He always provides. I have experienced job loss, but never too long and even when there is worry about finances, I just thank God for always providing exactly what I need all the time.
Father, I thank you for helping me be a good steward of my gifts and talents in my life on this earth, and I thank you for helping me and revealing my talents and gifts that are for the Kingdom. I know that I have a spirit and heart of serving in the church and I know there is plenty more as I become more and more plugged into Your Word and the church. I pray that my future husband is being a good steward in his own life and that he is finding out his talents and gifts that will benefit the Kingdom. I pray that he has a heart of leadership, serving, generosity and giving back to the community. I pray that he is a leader in his workplace and that he continues to move up in his current company and that he thanks You for the opportunities and blessings You’ve given him. I pray that he works hard and always learns new things to move forward his life. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!
7 The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers. 8 Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. 9 Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a place to stay.
10 God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. 11 Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen. 1 Peter 4:7-11
6 Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. 7 You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” 2 Corinthians 9:6-7
23 Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. 24 Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ. Colossians 3:23-24
